Bio

Lucas Scott was born and raised in Tree Hill, New York. He spent most weekends in NYC with friends. He grew up playing basketball with his friends, but never considered trying out for a real team. When he entered high school, his long time friend Delaney, convinced him to try out for the team, only because she was trying out for the cheerleading squad. The coach knew he was good. Lucas made the team and after a long waited fight between him and his half brother, he took his spot on the team.

Lucas was raised by his mother Karen, with help from his uncle, Keith. His father, Dan, never took part in his life. It was hard growing up in Tree Hill. He was ridiculed by his younger half brother, whom their father favored, but after Lucas joined the school basketball team, they became friends and eventually started acting like brothers.

The begining of his senior year, Lucas found out he had HCM. Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, putting his basketball career at risk. He kept playing, even though his doctors and mother urged him not to.

Months after finding out that bad news, a friend of his, Jimmy, brought a gun to school. Jimmy was mad that he was pushed aside for all the popular people. Keith tried to talk him out of it. In the end, Keith ended up killed and Jimmy killed himself.

After 6 years of endless flirting, Delaney and Lucas finally ended up together. They were the envied couple. Head cheerleader and the star of the basketball team, they were unstoppable. Until one night. The night of the championship game, Lucas found a drunken Delaney in the arms of the co-captain of the cheerleading squad.

A week later, Lucas packed up his things and moved to Canada. He reonvated an old fire house and has been living in Toronto since early May 2006. He joined a band, Catalyst and now plays guitar. He became good friends with the lead singer, Abby. He hasn't picked up a basketball since he's left Tree Hill.

Due to the HCM, Lucas doesn't drink. The medication he takes for it wouldn't be able to mix well with alcohol. He does party and occasionally smokes cigarettes and weed. Since the break up with Delaney, he's been a little promiscious. He's had an on and off fling with Abby and a few other girls around Toronto.
